This semester I was enrolled in one of West Virginia University’s only game development related courses CS 475. The course has a semester project and after I proposed the idea to my professor, I was given the green light to form a group to design and build a tabletop arcade cabinet to play some of the games that we programmed in the class for the semester, along with games from past semesters and the game developers club. We used a Raspberry Pi 2 to power the cabinet, along with an IPAC-2 bus board for the controls, standard computer speakers, and to display we used an HDMI monitor. Please check out the previous post if you would like to read the full paper about the project.
